Throughout my High School and College career, I have and continue to prioritize community engagement and off campus work. Much of my work centers my passion towards peace and justice. I have worked officially in community engagement, DEI, and action organizing in both Chicago and the Asheville area.

When arriving on campus, I knew that I wanted to see more education and representation of South West Asian and North African voices, culture, religions, and experience. I started the club with support from my peers in Spring of 2023.

Churches for Middle East Peace

Although I have met virtually with my Senators and Representatives, in spring 2024 I attended the CMEP conference in collaboration with Friends Committee on National Legislation and do my first official trip to Capital Hill to speak with North Carolina offices and advocate for Palestine.
